In every class, students build confidence, focus, respect, and self-discipline while learning practical self-defense skills in a safe, family-friendly environment.

Who we are
Isshin-Ryu is a time-honored martial art originating from Okinawa, Japan. At our dojo, we proudly follow the lineage of Grandmaster Willie Adams. We are proud members of the KIAI association.
St. Petersburg Karate Academy is built on a foundation of family, tradition, and shared passion for the martial arts. Sensei Dave — my uncle and my teacher — has been both a guiding force and an inspiration. His leadership, kindness, and lifelong dedication to Isshin-Ryu have shaped not only my journey but the experience of every student who trains here.
Our dojo is more than a place to learn karate; it’s a community where family values, mentorship, and respect come together to help every student grow stronger in body, mind, and spirit.
