More than Karate, a path to Confidence

At St. Pete Karate Academy, we are built on tradition, discipline, and real-world confidence. Growing up in a martial arts family, I learned early that karate is more than kicks and punches—it’s about developing strength, focus, and resilience that carry into everyday life.

As a proud member of the Karate International Association of Isshinryu (KIAI), I am dedicated to preserving authentic Isshinryu training while helping students of all ages unlock their potential. Whether you’re looking to build confidence, improve fitness, or find a supportive community, this is where your journey begins—and where you become stronger than you ever thought possible.

Meet your Instructor

I founded St. Pete Karate Academy with a simple goal—to create a place where anyone can grow stronger, more confident, and feel like they truly belong. As a women-owned and operated dojo, my approach is rooted in both tradition and real-life application, shaped by growing up in a martial arts family and a lifelong passion for teaching. I have also had the opportunity to travel across the country sharing and promoting Isshinryu karate, deepening my commitment to preserving its integrity.

I have spent many years studying both adult and child learning styles, allowing me to meet each student where they are and help them progress at their own pace. Every class is designed to be supportive, structured, and encouraging—so students build confidence without feeling overwhelmed.

I believe karate should be accessible to everyone, that’s why I’ve partnered with Volunteers of America to help bring training opportunities to those who may not otherwise have access.

I’ve also taught classes at a local recreation center and proudly hosted a free Women’s Self Defense Seminar.

When available, I offer sponsorship opportunities to help ensure more students can experience the benefits of training.

Empowering others with confidence, discipline, and practical skills is at the heart of everything I do—and I’m honored to be part of each student’s journey.
